Cool coffee for hot days

With the temperature spiking near 90 in SW Ohio, its time to start drinking cold coffee and here’s a recipe that won’t steer you wrong.  It’s inspired by the Copycat Starbucks Frozen Frappucino found on, with a twist:

Better Than 2coffeepots Frozen Frapp:

  1. 3/4 cup of double strength coffee, chilled
  2. 1 cups of 2% milk
  3. 3 tablespoons of sugar (or splenda)
  4. 1 cup of ice
  5. 1 scoop of vanilla yogurt (or ice cream)

For double strength coffee, brew with twice the coffee your coffee pot requires. (better than 2 coffeepots!) In my experience, crush the ice first in the blender with 1/2 cup of milk. Add the rest of ingredients and blend til smooth. Pour into 2 16 oz glasses, and add a straw. (Top with whipped cream if desired.)
